Nice enough, I like the Art Deco font.

What?

Found that someone makes a gauge bezel for the Cambridge that allows your to put aftermarket gauges in.

Gauges

Bought a set of Autometer Old Tyme gauges from Boese. Not exactly what I wanted, but those won't fit the speedometer opening. I wanted Autometer's Cruser AD guages.

Led installation

led installed

Here we see the LED turn signal indicator installed in the bezel. How do we do it without mangling up the finish?

Ancient chinese secret

Here we see the secret of installing those LED indicators. Find an old school ball point pen, pull out the center as seen in the picture.

voilà

Here we see the pen being used to press the LED into place without damaging anything. By the way, it is voilà not walla, some people are heathens.

gauge installation

Squaring it up

The Autometer instructions are pretty good for the physical mounting portion of the installation. However, the inner Sheldon Cooper in me wants to make sure all the gauges are properly lined up. Here I am using a straight edge to line up the mounting posts on the smaller gauges. The straight edge should touch each post, if not rotate the gauge to line it up. You may have to play back and forth with the adjustments till they all touch. For the speedometer you will have to measure the posts to the straight edge and make them both equal in distance. they will then all be square in the bezel.

Looking nice and ready for wiring

to be continued

That's it for now. Still need to mount it in the original dash and wire it up. I have a new speedometer cable that I need to install. Updates as possible.
